Pinta trahit pintam,...

I found this poem in the collection Philosophia Patrum edited by Julius Wegeler.

Pinta trahit pintam, trahit altera pintula pintam;
et sic per pintas nascitur ebrietas.

The vocabulary is keyed to the DCC Latin Vocabulary list. There are two words which are not on the DCC list:

ēbrietas, -ātis f. - drunkenness
pinta f. - pint; diminutive pintula

alter altera alterum: other of two
et: and
nāscor nāscī nātus sum: be born; nātus, son
per: through (+acc.)
sīc: in this manner, thus; sīc . . . ut, in the same way as
traho -ere trāxī trāctum: drag, draw
