Here is today's emblem and distich by Gabriel Rollenhagen, Book 1.64. The Italian title (taken from Petrarch) was a popular one with the emblem writers: "So from loving well, I endure torture." Luckily, Rollenhagen has made the fly very large so that you can see the poor creature before it plunges into the flame.
