Psittacus

Here is today's distich by Martial, 14.73. This is another one of those delightful epigrams in which something - in this case, a parrot - speaks to us in first-person.

Psittacus a vobis aliorum nomina discam:
Hoc didici per me dicere CAESAR AVE.
