Blanditiae poterunt...

This poem comes from the Florilegium Gottingense edited by Voigt.

Blanditiae poterunt mentes revocare bonorum,
Sed per supplicium mens est revocanda malorum.

The vocabulary is keyed to the DCC Latin Vocabulary list. There is only one word in this poem that is not on the DCC list:

blanditia, f. - flattery, compliments, charm

bonus -a -um: good
malus -a -um: evil
mēns mentis f.: mind
per: through (+acc.)
possum posse potuī: be able
revoco -āre: call back, recall
sed: but
supplicium -ī n.: punishment, penalty
