Dulce Est Desipere In Loco

Here is today's emblem and distich by Bornitius, 5:25. The key, of course, is knowing just what place and what time demand a little foolishness and what place and time demand the opposite! :-)

Dulce Est Desipere In Loco
Tempora stultitiam, gravitatem saepe vicissim,
Deposcunt; prudens desipit atque sapit.

Here is the vocabulary:

dulcis - sweet
sum - be, exist
desipio - act foolish, be crazy
in - in, into
locus - place
tempus - time
stultitia - foolishness, stupidity
gravitas - seriousness, heaviness
saepe - often
vicissim - in turn
deposco - demand, require
prudens - sensible, aware
atque - and
sapio - be wise
