Frustra Remorantius Austris

Here is today's emblem and distich by Joachim Camerarius, 2:28. As the emblem shows, the strong-willed horse is able to ascend the mountain, even going against the winds of adversity. The winds blow, but they blow in vain when the force of excellence pushes ahead!

Frustra Remorantibus Austris
Non remoratur equum vis venti assurgere in auras,
Virtutis nec sors aspera tardat iter.

Here is the vocabulary:

frustra - in vain
remoror - tarry, delay, obstruct
auster - south wind
non - not, no
equus - horse
vis - force, power
ventus - wind
assurgo - rise, lift, soar
in - in, into
aura - breeze, wind
virtus - excellence, virtue
nec - and not, nor
sors - lot, fate
asper - rough, savage, harsh
tardo - check, hinder
iter - journey, road, path
