Propriis Non Parcit Alumnis

Here is today's emblem and distich by Joachim Camerarius, 4:24. Pike are indeed cannibalistic fish, which Camerarius invokes here as a metaphor for the way that human beings have a propensity to destroy other members of the "human family" as it were.
