Quando conspicio damnum...

Here is another Rhyming Distich, and here are some more posts with Rhyming Distichs. This one is from Zacher's Altfranzösische Sprichwörter.

Quando conspicio damnum, tristis mage fio,
Sed dum non video, non nimium doleo.
