Fidem Servabo Genusque

Here is today's emblem and distich by Joachim Camerarius, 3:30. Camerarius clearly has a higher opinion of the hawk than the hawk we see in Hesiod or Aesop!

Fidem Servabo Genusque
Non necat accipiter, tenuit quem nocte volucrem;
Sic servare solet mens generosa fidem.
