Qui benefactorum...

Here is today's Rhyming Distich, and here are some more posts with Rhyming Distichs. I found this poem in the collection Philosophia Patrum edited by Julius Wegeler.

Qui benefactorum non vult memor esse suorum,
Non est laudari dignus, nec dignus amari.

The vocabulary is keyed to the DCC Latin Vocabulary list. There are two words which are not on the DCC list:

benefactor, -ōris m. - benefactor, someone who does a kindness
memor, memoris - mindful of, remembering

amo -āre: to love
dīgnus -a -um: worthy
laudo -āre: praise
neque, nec: and not, nor; neque . . . neque, neither . . . nor
nōn: not
qui, quae, quod: who, which, what; quis quid: who? what? which?
sum, esse, fuī: be, exist
suus -a -um: his own, her own, its own
volo velle voluī: wish, be willing
