Promittas facito...

This little poem comes from the Florilegium Gottingense edited by Voigt.

Promittas facito! quid enim promittere laedit?
Pollicitis dives quilibet esse potest.

The vocabulary is keyed to the DCC Latin Vocabulary list. There is only one word in this poem that is not on the DCC list:

quīlibet, quaelibet, quodlibet - whoever, anybody, everybody

dīves, dīvitis: rich (poet. dīs, dītis)
enim: for, indeed
facio facere fēcī factum: do, make
laedo -ere laesī laesum: injure by striking, hurt
possum posse potuī: be able
prōmitto -mittere -mīsī -missum: send forth, offer
qui, quae, quod: who, which, what; quis quid: who? what? which?
sum, esse, fuī: be, exist
