Homo Locum Ornat

This is an item from Anton Moker's Decalogus metricus et paraenetica disticha, published in 1573. You can see the book at GoogleBooks.

Homo Locum Ornat
Non locus exornat; locus exornatur ab arte:
Ornat homo arte locum, non locus ornat eum.

The vocabulary is keyed to the DCC Latin Vocabulary list. There are two words in this poem that are not on the DCC list:

exornō, exornāre: furnish with, adorn
ornō, ornāre: fit out, equip, embellish

ā ab abs: from, by (+abl.)
ars artis f.: skill
homo hominis m.: human being
is ea id: he, she, it
locus -ī m.: place; loca (n. pl.) region
nōn: not
